Struan Cottage

Struan, as its name suggests, is the ‘ Highland Cottage’, with its cosy, low-ceiling timbered sitting-room and staircase, leading to its double-room. Struan has a stunning view seawards from its bed-room window – possibly one of the best views with the sun rising over the Kyle.

Struan is steeped in history and character. Imagine snuggling down in front of the wood burning stove in the sitting-room which dates back to the 1800s. Struan is the oldest part of the property but benefits from a new wood pellet heating system to ensure it is warm all year round.

One of Struan’s special features in not only the comfiest King size bed but its unrivalled, uninterrupted view across fields to the Kyle of Sutherland beyond. Geese and cattle share the grazing rights in the autumn and winter.

The kitchen in Struan is equipped with an electric cooker, fridge and microwave, The washing machine is tucked under the stairs.
The cottage has just been equipped with a new wood pellet heating system to keep it snug all year round.
